SINGAPORE (Nov 18): At Singapore’s very first FinTech Awards on Thursday, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) awarded 10 financial technology (fintech) companies a total of $1.15 million to recognise them for their innovative solutions.

Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Chairman of MAS, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and ABS Chairman, Wee Ee Cheong, presented the awards to the companies in a ceremony with over 1,000 attendees.

Comprising the MAS FinTech Awards and ABS Global Fintech Award, the event was organised as part of the Singapore FinTech Festival to recognise innovative FinTech solutions implemented by fintech start-ups, financial institutions, and technology companies.
