SINGAPORE (Nov 24): Chew’s Group posted $27.9 million in earnings for FY16, compared with earnings of $2.1 million in FY15.

The surge in earnings arose in part from the $24.4 million gain on disposal of its land use rights and a part of its property, plant and equipment.

Excluding the financial effects of the disposal, earnings would have been about $2 million.
