SINGAPORE (July 27): July’s State Street Investor Confidence Index (ICI) results have revealed that global investor confidence has fallen to 98 points, which is 7.7 points lower from June’s revised reading of 105.7.

The overall decline in sentiment was driven by decreases in the European and North American ICIs by 7.9 points and 5.9 points to 92.4 and 99.9 points respectively. Asian ICI registered the lowest decline, falling 5.2 points to 108.

According to ICI’s index point system, a reading of 100 is neutral, indicating the level at which investors are neither increasing nor decreasing their long-term allocations to risky assets.
