Hong Kong, Shanghai stocks retreat in morning session
HONG KONG (May 27): Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks eased in the morning session following losses on Wall Street and as oil fell back below the US$50 mark.
The Hang Seng Index lost 0.13%, or 25.75 points, at 20,371.36.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.30%, or 8.41 points, to 2,814.03, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slid 0.26%, or 4.64 points, to 1,804.29.
