SINGAPORE (April 20): China will be hosting a top-level meeting focusing on its One Belt One Road initiative next month in Beijing.

With 28 country leaders expected to attend, this meeting has been described by Chinese state media Xinhua News Agency as the “highest profile” international event related to OBOR since it was mooted by President Xi Jinping back in 2013.

At the invitation of the Chinese Government, Singapore’s delegation will be led by Minister for National Development and Second Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong, says a spokesperson from the Ministry of National Development (MND).
