SINGAPORE (June 3): Singapore's May purchasing managers’ index reading published overnight suggests real improvement in the republic’s manufacturing industry, says DBS bank.

DBS’s view comes after May PMI is reported at 49.8, unchanged from April.

"Those who have been calling for 'green shoots' in the manufacturing sector may soon find themselves staring at a bunch of weeds,” says the bank.
