SINGAPORE (June 21): Mencast Holdings on Tuesday revealed it was served with a Writ of Summons and a Statement of Claim by plaintiffs S & W Engineering and Wong Chung Kang on June 3.

The plaintiffs are demanding a sum of $2.35 million allegedly due to them from Mencast under a sale and purchase agreement, and that a declaration that a profit warranty undertaken by S & W and Wong under the agreement be declared void and unenforceable.

In addition, they are seeking damages from Mencast in relation to Wong’s employment with Mencast subsidiary S & W, as well as interest and cost of the suit.
