SINGAPORE (July 18): Few start-ups can claim that they have a rocket scientist on their payroll, much less be the brainchild behind their technology. Collaborative Platform Services’ (CPS) eFORA platform, however, can boast of two. They are Jason Maroothynaden and Venka Pillay.

Pillay is an aerospace engineering graudate from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He had previously worked at the Canadian Space Agency for six years before returning to Malaysia to help out in his family’s wastewater treatment and renewable energy business.

Maroothynaden, on the hand, studied engineering at Imperial College London and started his career working at the European Space Agency.
