SINGAPORE (Aug 4): Analysts cannot seem to agree on StarHub.

The telecommunications service operator on Wednesday posted a 9.6% rise in earnings to $108.6 million in 2Q16, mainly due to a one-off gain of $9.5 million from an investment for a 9.1% stake in mm2 Asia. Excluding this, StarHub’s earnings for the quarter would have been flat y-o-y.

Group revenue for the quarter slipped 0.6% lower to $585.7 million, mainly attributed to lower revenue from sale of equipment.
