SINGAPORE (Oct 27): Singapore stocks closed slightly higher on Thursday as investors remained cautious ahead of the busy third corporate earnings season.

At 5.04pm, the benchmark Straits Times Index closed 0.01% or 0.37 points higher at 2,828.94. In the broader market, 1.33 billion shares valued at $718.1 million changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 207 to 131.

Noble Group was the most active with 132.2 million shares changing hands. Ezra was next with 76.5 million shares while HLH was third with 48.4 million shares.
