SINGAPORE (Jan 25): Singapore stocks ended nearly flat on Wednesday, after four consecutive sessions of gains as investors booked profits ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday.

The Straits Times Index, which is up 5.4% this year, ended 2.01 points or 0.07% lower at 3,039.94.

Margaret Yang, market analyst at CMC Markets, says a lot of the optimism in the market has already been priced in.
