SINGAPORE (Oct 6): Singapore stocks ended Thursday higher, inching upward on a mixed but mostly positive performance from the rest of Asia.

As at 5.04pm, the Straits Times Index was 3.43 points or 0.12% higher at 2,885.22. In the broader market, 2 billion shares valued at $1.1 billion changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 245 to 164.

Offshore marine and shipbuilding stocks trended higher during the session, while stocks of airport and airline companies fell.
