SINGAPORE (Aug 25): Singapore stocks advanced on Thursday evening to its highest level in two weeks although global trading cues remained limited.

As at 5.04pm, the key Straits Times Index (STI) was 7.36 points or 0.26% to 2,876.93. About 713.1 million shares with a value of $717.7 million changed hands. Losers outnumbered gainers 211 to 169.

Noble Group was the most active, seeing 78.1 million shares traded. Golden Agri was next with 25.1 million shares trading hands while Spackman Entertainment was third with a trading volume of 24.5 million.
