SINGAPORE (Oct 10): Shares of Vard jumped as much as 13.9% on Monday, prompting a query from the Singapore Exchange.

The stock price surge followed a 5.2% rise in its shares on Friday after the unit of Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri said that a previously announced contract to build two luxury vessels for German cruise company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises had been confimed.
