SINGAPORE (Feb 15): Singapore Airlines Group (SIA Group) has posted a 1 percentage point increase to 81.1% in passenger load factor (PLF) on the back of better PLF across almost all of the airlines under its umbrella.

In a filing of its Jan 2017 operating results on Wednesday, the group says overall airlines’ passenger carriage grew 5.8% compared to the last year, outpacing its growth in capacity of 4.5%.

Overall cargo load factor (CLF) for SIA Group stood 1 percentage point higher, with an 3.5% improvement in cargo traffic outpacing overall capacity growth of 1.8%. Improvements in CLF were seen across all regions except South West Pacific, West Asia, and Africa.
