Thanks to the relaxation of Covid-19 safety measures and the resumption of large-scale live entertainment events, concert organiser UnUsUaL has recorded earnings of $1.1 million, reversing from its loss of $1.6 million in 1HFY2022.

Revenue for the period saw a significant increase to $6.3 million from just $0.4 million a year ago.

During the period, the group presented the first large scale concert, A-Lin “A-LINK with PASSENGERS” world tour, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 28 and followed on with Eric Chou “Odyssey Journey” World Tour in Singapore on Sept 10-11. Both concerts received very warm responses from concert goers.

The group has also started to work on projects on other regions where the Covid-19 conditions have normalised for business. Its first regional project post Covid-19, will be the “JJ Lin’s JJ20 World Tour” concert at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.

For the next 12 months, the group says that its pipeline of local and regional projects is strong and it will make the appropriate announcements in due course.

Leslie Ong, CEO of UnUsUaL says, “We are pleased that our business environment has largely normalised locally and in most of our key markets. We are working hard to boost our pipeline with new and compelling products which we will share when we are ready.”

“For the year to date, we have completed notable projects with Eric Chou and recently, with JJ Lin at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and National Stadium respectively. We are very grateful for the well wishes we have received since we restarted our concert presentation. I would like to thank our supporters, fans, suppliers, and staff for their unyielding support.”

Shares in UnUsUaL closed at 14 cents on Nov 10, up 15% ytd.
