SINGAPORE (June 19): Chaswood Resources, one of the leading casual dining operators in Malaysia, said its subsidiaries have been been hit with nine lawsuits claiming damages totalling RM3.44 million ($1.2 million).

Eight of the lawsuits were filed by landlords to recover outstanding rents owed and interests accrued by the F&B subsidiaries of Chaswood Resources Sdn Bhd (CRSB).

The plaintiffs included MTrustee, Jelas Puri, Couture Homes and Putrajaya Holdings. The Chaswood subsidiaries involved were Bistroamericana (SJ), Bistro Italiana (PM), Bistro Italiana (SJ) and Bulgogi Brothers Restaurants.
