SINGAPORE (Mar 26): The Singapore government is going all out in its fight against the escalating Covid-19 outbreak, and is looking to set aside some $48.4 billion to support the rattled economy. 

This brings the state’s total relief package to an astounding $55 billion, after factoring in the proposed measures worth $6.4 billion that was previously announced in the Budget 2020 delivered a month earlier. 

This translates to approximately 11% of the Singapore GDP, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat said on Thursday.
