SINGAPORE (Mar 20): Singtel Group is planning to launch an interoperable platform that links various mobile wallets across different ecosystems, allowing users to make cross-border payments at physical merchants in the region.

The introduction of mobile wallet interconnectivity will allow its mobile customers to further enjoy cashless payments at brick-and-mortar retailers when overseas.

In a Tuesday announcement, Singtel says it intends to begin with linking its own Singtel Dash mobile wallet with those of its regional associates.
