SINGAPORE (Sept 14): GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, has committed an undisclosed sum of investment for US technology provider Federated Wireless in its latest fundraising round.

The company, a subsidiary of Boston-based Allied Minds, is said to “enable the shared spectrum revolution” through its offering of FCC-approved Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) 3.5GHZ shared spectrum band.

GIC’s investment comes as part of the company’s US$42 million ($56.7 million) Series B round of funding which closed today, and also saw strategic investments from the company’s key wireless industry ecosystem partners including Charter Communications, American Tower Corporation and ARRIS International.
