SINGAPORE (Sept 22): Del Monte Foods, Inc (DMFI), the US subsidiary of Del Monte Pacific, has entered into an agreement to sell its Sager Creek vegetable business to McCall Farms for a consideration sum of US$55 million ($74.3 million).

Sager produces specialty vegetables for the foodservice and retail markets, and manufactures several brands, including Veg-all, Freshlike, Popeye, Princella, Trappey's and Allens.

On the other hand, McCall Farms is a family-owned business that produces canned vegetables and fruits under brands such as Bruce’s Yams, Margaret Holmes and Glory Foods.
