SINGAPORE (Aug 24): GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare today announced the launch of Shopper Science Lab, a research and shopper insight facility, in Singapore.

Through the facility, GSK aims to drive business growth in emerging markets (EMs) through the delivery of unique shopper insights and collaboration with retailers, says the British pharmaceutical group in a press release on Thursday.

According to the group, Singapore has been chosen as its base for operations due to the city state's close proximity to large EMs like India and China – which will enable GSK and its retail partners to “study diverse emerging shoppers closely” using local data collected on the ground.
