SINGAPORE (Jan 30): Malaysia’s 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and the local government have been issued a court order to enter their defence in a suit that concerns 1MDB’s settlement with the International Petroleum Investment Co (IPIC).

The three parties have previously written applications for a stay to file their defence, but was dismissed by High Court judge Hue Siew Kheng on Monday, according to news portals.

Najib has previously argued that he was wrongfully added as a party in the suit.
