SINGAPORE (June 12): Keong Hong Holdings announced Tuesday that the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will exercise leniency and reduce the ban imposed on the group for the recruitment of new foreign workers to six months, from a debarment term of two years previously.

Despite an unsuccessful appeal for the lifting of the debarment, the construction company will now be allowed to recruit new foreign workers after Nov 24, 2018.

MOM in May had slapped a 2-year debarment on Keong Heong, prohibiting the company from hiring new foreign workers until May 31, 2020.
