SINGAPORE (Jan 2): CIMB Bank Singapore announced Thursday it has appointed Victor Lee Meng Teck as its new chief executive officer.

With more than 25 years of experience in the retail, commercial and corporate banking sectors across Asean and North Asia, Lee is also the CEO of CIMB Group Commercial Banking and a member of the senior management team of CIMB Group.

Lee will take over as CEO of CIMB Bank's Singapore office from Mak Lye Mun, who is retiring after a decade at the helm.

“Singapore is a financial hub for the region and a core market for CIMB Group. We need to leverage on her strength to capture the opportunities," Lee says.

On the back of the new Industrial Revolution 4.0, he adds that CIMB Bank Singapore will need to anchor down on partnerships and technology.

"Our talented and dedicated employees will be part of our core strategy to drive this business to the next level. I am personally excited to take this business into the new decade,” he adds.
