Lim Oon Kuin (OK Lim), the founder of Hin Leong Trading, has been charged in court with 23 new counts of forgery-related offences on April 30.

Of the 23 counts, Lim was charged with 12 counts of abetment of forgery for the purpose of cheating and 11 counts of forgery.

Lim, who was diagnosed with “acute and chronic sinusitis”, was deemed unfit for court by his doctor on April 29, the third time the session was adjourned since March 29.

All 23 charges had been read and explained to Lim and that prosecution was not asking for an increase in Lim’s bail, according to deputy public prosecutor Navin Naidu.

Lim’s $3 million court bail was extended on April 30.

Naidu asked for six weeks to finalise charges after further investigations. The next hearing will be at 8am on June 24.
