SINGAPORE (June 8): China Everbright Water, the environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, announced on Monday that it has recently secured the Zhuertun Waste Water Treatment Plant Retrofitting and Expansion Project (Zhuertun Project) in Shenyang City for a total investment of some RMB64 million (S$12.6 million).
The company entered into the concession agreement with the Urban Construction Bureau of Dadong District of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province.
The Zhuertun Project includes the retrofitting and expansion works of Zhuertun Waste Water Treatment Plant, which currently has a designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 5,000 cubic metres.
Everbright Water will provide operation and management services to the Zhuertun Waste Water Treatment Plant once the retrofitting and expansion works are completed. The work will be developed on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model, with a concession period of 30 years. The expansion work will contribute an additional daily waste water treatment capacity of 5,000 cubic metres.
Everbright Water's shares closed 1.5 cents higher, or 6.7% up, at 24 cents.
