Tokenize Xchange, a Singapore-based platform that allows users to buy cryptocurrencies in Singapore dollars (SGD), announced the launch of Elemint.
Elemint is a curated marketplace where collectors and creators can meet to buy, sell, collect and trade non-fungible token (NFT) collections.
Based on Web 2.0 and 3.0 technology, Elemint will leverage on Tokenize’s experience in technology and finance to provide a platform that serves the needs of artists, designers and brands. The platform will also foster an innovative open digital economy between creators and their communities.
Elemint has already listed its first NFT collection, Poker Penguins, an Ethereum-based NFT collection with a set of 936 digital collectible penguins for minting. Poker Penguin collectors will be entitled to perks like coaching, access to an exclusive community and even private yacht events.
Tokenize, which currently operates under exemption from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), was founded in Singapore in 2017 by founder and CEO Hong Qi Yu. The platform has since applied for a digital payment token license.
“We are proud today to unveil our new NFT marketplace Elemint, which we see as a bridge to the Metaverse”, says Hong. “Elemint’s mission is to enable widespread and sustainable adoption of NFTs, and this begins by empowering brands and digital creators. We’re building tools that allow collectors to trade their items freely, creators to launch authentic and unique digital works, and connect them both through our vibrant and integrated marketplace.”
