Investment research provider Morningstar has announced the winners of its 2024 Morningstar Awards for Investing Excellence in Singapore, which recognises funds and asset managers that have served investors well over the long term.
According to a March 18 announcement, Morningstar’s manager research team believes these winners will be able to deliver strong risk-adjusted returns over time.
The Fidelity Global Dividend SR-Acc-SGD fund has been named Best Global Equity Fund in the the Morningstar Category Awards, while the Schroder Asian Equity Yield A fund has clinched the title of Best Asia Equity Fund. The two funds carry Morningstar Medalist Ratings of bronze and silver respectively.
Rounding out a trio of winners in the Morningstar Category Awards is the PIMCO GIS Global Bond Fund E Class, Accumulation Shares USD, winner in the Best Global and Asian Bond Fund category. This fund carries a bronze Morningstar Medalist Rating.
Dimensional Fund Advisors Pte. Ltd. has been named Best Asset Manager, while BNP Paribas Asset Management is this year’s Best Asset Manager — Sustainable Investing.
The awards are determined by a combination of risk-adjusted medium- to long-term performance track records and Morningstar’s forward-looking rating for funds, the Morningstar Medalist Rating, including its Parent pillar component.

The Medalist Rating is set on a five-tier scale running from gold, silver, bronze, neutral and negative at the share class level.
The Morningstar Asset Manager — Sustainable Investing Award is determined by a combination of Morningstar’s qualitative and quantitative sustainability research capabilities.
The Morningstar Awards for Investing Excellence commends the industry’s fund offerings and investor-centric firms, says Wing Chan, head of manager research, Europe and Asia Pacific, Morningstar.
