DBS buys 675,000 units in CLAR for $1.9 mil

DBS Bank has bought 675,000 more units in CapitaLand Ascendas REIT A17U

(CLAR) on Sept 4, for a purchase consideration of $1.88 million or $2.79 apiece. 

Following the transaction, DBS’s stake in CLAR came up to 0.849%. 

Prior to the transaction, DBS acquired 100,000 units in CLAR at $286,000 or $2.86 per unit on Aug 27. 

CLAR reported a distribution per unit (DPU) of 7.524 cents for 1HFY2024 ended June 30, marking a 2.5% y-o-y decline. 

However, revenue for the same period increased by 7.2% year-on-year to $770.1 million, driven by full contributions from the REIT’s acquisitions in Singapore completed during 1HFY2023. 

Units in CLAR closed at 1 cent higher or up 0.35% at $2.90 on Sept 10.
