A leadership shuffle at taxi operator ComfortDelGro and its subsidiary SBS Transit has seen the three appointments to top roles at the two companies from Jan 1, 2023.

At SBS Transit, Jeffery Sim, the current CEO of SBS Transit’s rail arm, SBS Transit Rail will be appointed group CEO of SBS Transit.

Sim had assumed various positions in rail engineering and rail development.

Under his watch, the Downtown Line (DTL) achieved the distinction of being the most reliable MRT line in the world, clocking more than four million train-km in Mean Kilometres Between Failure (MKBF) in 2021 and year-to-date 2022.

He succeeds current SBS Transit group CEO Cheng Siak Kian, who also holds the concurrent role of ComfortDelGro deputy CEO.

Cheng will be promoted to managing director and group CEO of ComfortDelGro, succeeding current managing director and group CEO Yang Ban Seng.
