Citi has appointed Tibor Pandi as the Citi country officer (CCO) for Singapore, effective February 1.

Pandi will have an oversight of all business and operations in the country, responsible for driving overall franchise performance.

Among others, Pandi will be responsible for protecting and enhancing Citi’s reputation in the country, on top of being the main regulatory representative for Citi in Singapore.

Singapore is a key hub for Citi, housing a number of its regional and global client coverage as well as product units. Home to many of its Asia and Asean leadership teams, Singapore is one of its four wealth hubs globally alongside London, Dubai and Hong Kong.

Pandi will report to Amol Gupte, Citi’s head of South Asia and Asean.

At present, Pandi is Citi’s CCO for Thailand, a role he assumed in 2017. He joined Citi in 2001 as a senior relationship manager with Citibank Hungary, before holding various leadership roles including CCO for Romania.
