DBS Group Holdings has appointed Chng Kai Fong as a non-executive non-independent director. He will also be a member of the board audit and nominating committees.

Chng currently serves as managing director of the Singapore Economic Development Board. Previously, he was the principal private secretary to the prime minister. He also served as a director at the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Shares in DBS closed 9 cents or 0.32% higher at $28.59 on March 26.
