Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Mike Tan as its new global head of wealth planning & family advisory.
Tan will join the bank on Sept 25. He will report to Raymond Ang, the bank’s global head of private & affluent banking business.
In his new role, Tan will work along the bank’s frontline team to deliver wealth planning, family office and family governance advice and solutions to its ultra-high net worth private banking clients across its four wealth advisory hubs of Hong Kong, Singapore, UAE and Jersey.
Tan, who was most recently part of the wealth advisory team at JP Morgan Singapore, comes with over 20 years of experience in wealth and succession, family office, family governance and philanthropy planning and advisory. In his years within the banking industry, he had taken various wealth advisory roles across Singapore and Hong Kong after moving into banking from the legal profession in 2003.
