CapitaLand’s wholly-owned lodging business unit, The Ascott Limited, is offering more perks to its members under its loyalty programme Ascott Star Rewards (ASR).
From September 7, ASR and CapitaStar members can now exchange their ASR points for CapitaStar’s STAR dollars and vice versa.
ASR lets members earn and redeem points at its participating served residences and hotels with no blackout date restrictions. CapitaStar’s STAR dollars can be used exchange for eCapitaVouchers, as well as shopping and dining rewards on the CapitaStar mobile app across participating CapitaLand malls in Singapore.
In addition, Ascott is offering its new ‘Ascott Star Rewards Elite Status Match’ programme to reward ASR members and accelerate their progress to higher ASR membership tiers.
Existing ASR members or new members who are able to show proof of an elite membership status in a loyalty programme with other hospitality groups and a stay with these other groups within the last 18 months will enjoy a matching elite membership status of either Silver, Gold or Platinum status with ASR.
Relevant loyalty programmes by other airlines or online travel booking sites may also be considered for status matching.
Separately, OCBC cardmembers and Singapore Medical Association (SMA) members will get to enjoy complimentary ASR status upgrades and discounts, which can be used at participating serviced residences and hotels till December 31.
To encourage members in ASR to rediscover their own countries, ASR members will receive extra bonus points on every nights’ stay at a participating property.
In Singapore, such properties include Ascott Raffles Place Singapore, Ascott Orchard Singapore, and lyf Funan Singapore.
Shares in CapitaLand closed 4 cents lower, or 1.4% down, at $2.75 on September 4.
