SINGAPORE (May 29): Going bananas

The Body Shop once again taps into nature to bring us natural goodness such as the latest Banana Body Yoghurt ($20.00, 200ml). This pampering treat is what we deserve while we stay home and wait for Covid-19 to calm down. Do note that the bananas come from El Guabo in Ecuador, a company that minimises waste by using bananas that would not sell in supermarkets. The Body Shop does not care if the bananas they use are the “wrong” shape or size — they are as beautifully fruity as all the rest!

Watch that Curve

Georg Jensen’s Curve collection of jewellery is soft, sensual and sculpted. These cloudlike designs are found on bangles, necklaces, rings, pendants and earrings. The design’s voluptuous form, with variations in size, enables the wearer to go as bold as they prefer, whether choosing the sizeable Curve cuff for a statement look, or layered necklaces and stacking rings for everyday wear. Available on https://bit.ly/ShopGJLaz and www.tangs.com

Charming us for 20 years

The charm bracelet by Pandora celebrates 20 years in the business this year. With that announcement, the company has launched the release and relaunch of a special collection of Pandora’s most beloved charms, the 2020 Limited Edition Charm series. Each charm captures the stories of Pandora wearers, and each will carry a special 20-year hallmark and come with a certificate of authenticity.

Making dreams come true

Just because we cannot go out that does not mean giving back to the less fortunate has to stop. Here is what you can do: Homegrown jewellery company Avyanna has collaborated with designer Jessica Cindy and eight strong, powerful, and beautiful women to create A Moment to Dream campaign featuring mothers. These images are to inspire you to buy a piece of jewellery from Avyanna and $120 from each piece will go to the Singapore Children’s Society. For those unfamiliar, the society protects and nurtures children and youth of all races and religions. From now to June 30, log on to http://www.avyanna.sg and make that purchase.

An olfactory journey

Being able to just pack and travel to far off lands is now but a dream. Louis Vuitton encourages us to dream with their latest offering California Dream. This fragrance transports us to the West Coast of the US where the sunsets are spectacular and the beaches are picture perfect on a summer day.

An iconic design reworked

You ask yourself “What’s next?” at the end of every Netflix programme. Here is our suggestion: The Last Dance — a docuseries about basketball legend Michael Jordan and his journey with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. The one thing that will stand out are his shades and Oakley has now revisited the past to inspire the present collection. In particular, the iconic Eye Jacket Redux that features the same oval silhouette with an updated Prizm Lens Technology. The lens design is meant to enhance colour, contrast and detail.

Three steps to a radiant complexion

Chanel has launched a range of skincare products to help protect our skin even while we stay indoors or leave the home with masks on. It is still necessary to renew the skin by removing sebum, makeup, pollution, and anything that dulls its radiance. Chanel offers three new cleansing products: Le Gel clears the skin’s impurities while Le Gommage is a gentle exfoliation treatment and Le Masque recharges the skin with vitamins.
