Scents of summer
Maison Christian Dior launches three fragrances: Gris Dior, Lucky and Holy Peony. Gris Dior is filled with fresh modern chypre notes, Lucky has the good-luck charm of lily of the valley-white flower accords while Holy Peony is floral with an opulent beauty that reveals a sensual and generous peony.
Otherwise engaged
B.P. De Silva has a range of engagement rings for those who are planning to pop the question but clueless about the type of ring to get. The focus here is on sapphires, which is the brand’s legacy. The brand’s pocketful of gems originated in 1872, and includes Ceylon Sapphires curated by B.P. de Silva himself. Sapphires have a remarkable refractive index which means they dazzle well with the brand’s signature cuts. They also have excellent durability with a hardness of nine (on a maximum of 10) on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness — making them durable and versatile, the perfect combination for heirlooms to be. Today, sapphires are in demand as the value coloured gemstone engagement rings continue to increase.

The monochrome capsule collection features prominently the Celine logo that includes a range of easy-to-wear pieces such as silk teddy jackets with rivets to hoodies and sweatpants. These are the kinds of things one wears to a co-working office where dressing down is the norm.
Local flavours
Singapore Distillery has been busy as it has just announced six unique gins that are distilled in 500-litre copper. The process is similar to that of making whisky where the bulbous head of the copper still helps create the smooth, balanced finish found in each of the gins. The six gins contain very local flavours such as juniper, cloves, mandarin orange, Ceylon cinnamon, Cassia cinnamon grains of paradise, angelica root and more for the Singa Gin. Stolen Roses Gin is a take on the very famous Bandung drink and this is done by distilling a blend of roses with traditional gin botanicals and then resting with roses to pick up another layer of flavour as well as its lovely red colour.
