The opening of the Porsche Experience Centre in Singapore in 2027 will make it the 11th in the world when it is completed.
Singapore - The hits keep on rolling as Porsche stamps its mark on Singapore in recognition of our island-state’s importance as a hub in South-East Asia.
In a space of a few short months, Singapore has played host to the opening of the Porsche Studio Singapore, the global launch of the all-electric Macan at Gardens by the Bay, as well as a subsequent International Dealer Launch Event at Marina Bay.
And now, the brand has announced the impending opening of a Porsche Experience Centre (or PEC
This announcement was made during the Tourism Industry Conference 2024 by Minister Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-Charge of Trade Relations in Singapore.

Ms. Melissa Ow (pictured below with Mr. Hannes Ruoff), Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board said, “We are excited to welcome the first Porsche Experience Centre that will serve and engage with fans and customers of Porsche in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The Porsche Experience Centre will add to the suite of high-quality lifestyle experiences that Singaporeans and visitors can enjoy in Singapore. Beyond tourism, the facility will also inject vibrancy into the Changi precinct and deliver industrial benefits that will further bolster our economy.”
When it goes live in 2027, PEC Singapore – the 11th in the world after PEC Toronto opens this year – will sit on a 90,000 square-metre site next to the Changi Exhibition Centre.
This makes it a short 20 minutes from Changi Airport and close to the upcoming Aviation Park MRT station, with the objective to add its flavour of PTS colour to the Changi precinct.

Mr. Hannes Ruoff (pictured above on the left with Miss. Melissa Ow), Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Asia Pacific, emphasised the strategic significance of Singapore as a hub in Southeast Asia with enthusiasm for this ground-breaking project.
“Following a series of successful events held in Singapore, Porsche is thrilled to mark yet another milestone by building the country’s first permanent driving-focused facility. This initiative not only reflects our commitment to delivering our unique brand of exhilaration to customers and fans, but also underlines Singapore's pivotal role as a gateway to the thriving Southeast Asian market. Yet, even as our region gains prominence in Porsche’s global business, we are dedicated to ensuring that the new Porsche Experience Centre Singapore offers inclusive experiences for the whole family to enjoy,” he said.
Porsche makes some of the best driver’s cars in the business and this cuts across the entire spectrum of its offerings.
We're not just talking about the sportscar models like the iconic 911 or the Boxster / Cayman, because the many variants of the Taycan, Macan, Panamera and Cayenne are engineered to serve up incisive driving thrills that continue to captivate the brand’s fans.
However, such dynamic prowess is best left for closed roads… or better still, a race circuit. After all, this is the safest and most responsible way of driving the cars as Porsche intended… like you stole it!

Well, seeing as local petrolheads have long lamented the absence of a dedicated track in Singapore for performance and dynamic handling testing, it looks like their dreams are finally coming true with PEC Singapore.
Nothing is set in stone yet, but we understand PEC Singapore could also be open to collaboration activities with selected performance car owners clubs.
If this indeed happens, we reckon it’s a good opportunity for potential conquest deals, especially if the participants have never had a chance to push a Porsche to its (and their) limits before.
Besides, if you hadn’t noticed, the Porsche brand has evolved beyond just the cars, but encapsulates an entire lifestyle experience as well, with a view towards growing community and camaraderie among Porsche owners and enthusiasts.
Mr. Detlev von Platen (pictured above), Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG said, “Porsche is more than just a car – it is a promise for a unique brand and product experience. I am delighted that we are building our 11th such facility in Singapore, an amazing city where innovation and entrepreneurial spirit thrive. It is only natural that we build this new PEC Singapore with these same principles in mind, aiming to create innovative and unforgettable encounters with our sportscars – and, I hope, inspiring and building desirability among younger generations.”
Porsche Studio Singapore is a great example of its holistic approach to brand building, because it lets visitors soak in the vibes without the hard-sell elements associated with conventional car showrooms. The PEC Singapore is expected to be no different. The 2+km dynamic track “playground” serves as the heart of the Experience Centre, but it will also feature a fully-integrated, high-capacity Aftersales facility, as well as other points of interest.
Naturally, in line with the brand’s commitment towards sustainability, the PEC Singapore fleet will feature a good number of EV models. However, participants will find that the driving thrills served up by the all-electric sportscars will easily rival many ICE performance machines. However, it isn’t just for the drivers, because the Centre promises an immersive experience into the world of Porsche for the entire family and all petrolheads in general. There will be themed exhibitions, with a rotation of legendary cars drawn from the Porsche Museum, dining options and racing sims.
There are currently nine PECs in the world: Leipzig, Silverstone, Atlanta, Le Mans, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Germany’s Hockenheimring, Franciacorta, Italy and Tokyo, with the newest PEC in Toronto scheduled to be up in 2024.
