SINGAPORE (Oct 28): Lululemon and Roksanda put a high-fashion twist on athleisure
Cult athletics brand Lululemon and fashion label Roksanda launched their 16-piece collaboration on Oct 22, with a second drop scheduled for January 2020.
The capsule “street-to-sweat wear” collection blends Roksanda’s signature sculptural shapes and colour blocking with Lululemon’s trademark athleticism and functionality, with items ranging from leggings and sports bras to drawstring dresses and wide-leg pants. The series has been crafted in a vibrant colour palette encompassing hibiscus, violet, sienna and rich midnight, and transitionality is a key theme: A standout piece is the Inner Expanse Infinity Coat, which can be worn multiple ways, including as a coat, puffer jacket or light trench.
“The designs are carefully created to complement every element of a woman’s lifestyle,” says Roksanda founder Roksanda Ilinčić in a statement. “It was important to me that each piece feels natural to wear at any point in the day.” The collection will go on sale at lululemon.com and in select Lululemon stores and luxury retailers.
The collaboration is the latest big move by Lululemon, which also expanded into the beauty sector in June with the launch of its debut personal care line, dubbed Selfcare. The cruelty-free collection comprises a NoShow Dry Shampoo for a post-workout hair refresh, a Sweat Reset Moisturizer for hydration, a natural deodorant and a Basic Balm to lock in moisture before, during and after workouts.
Dior unveils a timeless new wardrobe for men
French house Dior presents a new collection for men, Dior Essentials (main image), a seasonless offering whose style offers a new take on the masculine silhouette for both day and night.
The line will focus on timeless, modern pieces for the masculine wardrobe, showcasing the know-how and heritage of the French fashion house.
The collection covers formal items as well as more casual items for day and night in classic colours. Like other ranges from the house, the line emphasises artisanal savoir-faire and high quality. This approach is particularly visible in the fabrics, from poplin to Japanese denim and cashmere.
Tailoring, sportswear-inspired designs and outerwear are prominent in the collection. Men will appreciate a tracksuit in cotton fleece, a shirt in white cotton poplin, pants in black wool twill, a polo shirt in cotton pique and a mohair jacket. For accessories, the collection offers a pair of B23 sneakers, a grey jacquard saddle bag and a belt in brushed calfskin.
