The Edge Singapore hosted a memorable evening for readers to view fine timepieces by Glashütte Original in the elegant premises of Space Furniture.

SINGAPORE (Sept 2): Fifteen readers of The Edge Singapore had a rare chance to get a close look at an array of Glashütte Original timepieces that were launched this year. In this exclusive event held on the evening of Aug 14 on the second level of Space Furniture, the guests were given an opportunity to view the PanoMaticLunar, SeaQ, SeaQ Panorama Date, Senator Chronometer Tourbillon limited edition and many more.

Glashütte Original is a German watchmaking company founded in 1994. It is one of the few watchmakers that still use their own movements today. Space Furniture, meanwhile, has five showrooms, with each displaying leading international furniture, lighting and accessories brands.

The precious timepieces were housed individually in glass vitrines, which were strategically placed at various parts of the store. Staff of Glashütte Original walked guests through the timepieces on display and explained the intricacies of each piece to them.

At every turn, timepieces and furniture pieces stood in harmony — sharing qualities such as beautiful design and functionality. Guests were then ushered into the By Appointment Room. After a warm welcome speech by Jose De Cardoso, country manager of Swatch Group, which owns Glashütte Original, they were given a very informative product presentation by Garina Tan, vice-president of Glashütte Original.

As bubbly and wine flowed, so too did the conversation, as guests bonded over their love for timepieces, fine furniture and accessories. The German and Italian wines were provided by Asher BWS.

At the end of the evening, each guest took home a handpainted Glashütte Original journal.
