SW1 demystifies beauty and aesthetics procedures so you can live your best life

(July 1): At a recent interview with a local publication, SW1 founder and medical director Dr Low Chai Ling said, “SW1 was started with a very people-centric mindset at its core. I think that women should have full autonomy over their bodies and appearance, and have the freedom to make decisions without stigma or labels.”

This statement is in line with SW1’s mantra, which is “Living Without Limits”, a reminder to us that we control our own destinies.

SW1’s 8,000 square-foot aesthetic facility in Paragon, Orchard has a very interesting backstory. The SW1 name is the postcode of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea where Dr Low lived as a medical student.

SW1 is now in its second year of business, and growth has been steady with the opening of a new outlet in Singapore’s central business district and another in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. But it does not stop here as SW1 has plans to expand its footprint in Southeast Asia.

Dr Low and SW1 co-founder Dr Kenneth Lee have been in the aesthetics industry for 16 years and their reputation has helped the brand grow. Prior to this, the husband-and-wife team started The Sloane Clinic. They left in 2017 to establish SW1 to realise their vision of opening a clinic for people who think that aesthetic treatment is beyond their reach.

The good doctors’ goal was to marry non-invasive aesthetic procedures with plastic surgery. SW1’s sprawling flagship clinic in the heart of Orchard Road boasts a myriad of head-to-toe treatments, no matter the patient’s age or gender.

Within the clinic itself lies a couple of other “clinics”, each formulated to provide for any beauty-related concerns a patient might have. For example, the Hair Clinic provides various treatments for anyone afraid of, or already affected by, hair loss. They range from revitalising scalp treatments to avant-garde hair-grafting procedures that have proven to be more effective than common hair transplants.

The Skin Clinic has a suite of treatments for an assortment of skin issues, ranging from acne to keloids and crow’s feet to turkey neck — there are actually more solutions than there are problems at the Skin Clinic. The treatments include Forever Young Broadband light therapy to brighten the complexion and firm skin. You could also take a quick lunchtime nap while the nurses pamper your skin with SW1’s highly exclusive and customisable Facial Cocktails.

For patients who desire more invasive treatments, the plastic surgery wing at SW1’s flagship clinic is the place to be. Helmed by a team of plastic surgery specialists, the clinic offers procedures such as breast augmentation using the latest Motiva implants, liposuction, face-lifts and even double eyelid surgeries, which are performed upon painstakingly detailed consultation and with the highest precision.

The various programmes, treatments, therapies and surgeries on offer cover all aspects of beauty and aesthetics. So you will never hear SW1 say, “Sorry, we don’t do that here”. Instead, you will hear a lot more of “When would you like that done?”
