Raffles Boutique
Experience Peranakan culture through an exclusive accessories collection at the Raffles Boutique. Created in collaboration with award-winning Peranakan museum The Intan, the collection includes delicately crafted tea sets and table accents, heritage-inspired jewellery and hand-painted tile coasters that are exclusive to Raffles Boutique.
The collection will also showcase handicrafts created by craftsmen with special needs. The Intan Cares collection partners local social communities including Metta School, Serving People with Disabilities, (SPD) and Yellow Ribbon Singapore (RYSG), with a portion of sales donated to participating organisations.

Tuesdays with Morrie
Singapore Repertory Theatre
After being closed for seven months, the Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT) is planning to be the first theatre to reopen for live performances on Tuesdays with Morrie this November. Based on Mitch Albom’s best-selling memoir, Tuesdays with Morrie takes the audience on an intimate journey, revealing the deep personal bond between mentor and student.
Sixteen years after graduation, career-obsessed journalist Mitch reunites with his former college professor and mentor Morrie, who is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). What starts as a simple visit turns into a life-changing weekly pilgrimage — always on Tuesdays — that enables Morrie to teach his final and most important lesson — how to live.
Theatre veteran Remesh Panicker (Art, Romeo & Juliet, Merchant of Venice) will play the titular character while Benjamin Chow (Romeo & Juliet, The LKY Musical) will perform the role of Mitch.
With safe distancing measures, seating is limited to 50 people. Tickets start at $50 for previews on Nov 1 and Nov 3, and the premiere on Nov 4, and are available at Sistic or on SRT’s website at www.srt.com.sg.

Contemporary gallery Sundaram Tagore presents an exhibition by six world-renowned photographers who are deeply engaged with the environment and contemporary social issues.
Sebastião Salgado and Steve McCurry share a photojournalistic approach, recording human struggle and the impacts of conflict and globalisation. Karen Knorr’s intricate images use ancient myths and allegories to frame issues of entrenched social constructs.
Lalla Essaydi and Robert Polidori explore the human condition through intimate examinations of spaces, both real and symbolic. Edward Burtynsky photographs industrial landscapes around the world, laying bare the devastating impact of manufacturing and human consumption.
Running from Oct 9 to Nov 22, Inherent Beauty: Photographers Who Change How We See the World will show at the Gillman Barracks gallery Tuesdays through Saturdays.
