SINGAPORE (Dec 22): The Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS) is inviting public feedback on the upcoming alliance between Uber Technologies and ComfortDelGro (CDG).

Under the deal, CDG will acquire a 51% stake in Uber’s car rental company Lion City Holdings, as well as form a strategic alliance under a Commercial Collaboration Agreement with Uber.  

In a Thursday announcement, CCS says it is currently assessing whether either the acquisition or collaboration would result in a “substantial lessening of competition” within Singapore’s transport market, which is prohibited by the Competition Act.
