SINGAPORE (July 7): QT Vascular on Thursday announced it has received CE mark clearance for the sale and distribution of the Chocolate Heart drug-coated percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) balloon in Europe.

CE marking is a manufacturer's declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of the relevant European health, safety and environmental protection legislation.

Chocolate Heart is used in the dilatation of the stenotic portion of coronary arteries for the purpose of improving myocardial perfusion, QT Vascular said in a statement.
