SINGAPORE (May 22): Raffles Education Corp has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chinese developer CFLD International to jointly develop education hubs across Southeast Asia, starting with CFLD International’s Tangerang New City in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia.

In a Tuesday filing, Raffles Education says the upcoming education hub – which will feature a college and preschool owned by the group – will serve residents of Tangerang New City and beyond while also offering enrichment classes by third party providers of music, dance, arts and drama classes as well as tuition centres. 

Tangerang New City is a project by CFLD International intended as a “Garden City” with the aim of becoming an ASEAN Innovation Transformation Centre.
