SINGAPORE (Sept 12): Sapphire Corporation announced Tuesday that it has secured a RMB 276 million ($57 million) rail engineering contract for the second phase of the Beijing Metro’s Changping Line.

Sapphire’s wholly-owned engineering, procurement and construction subsidiary Ranken Railway Construction Group Co. will undertake civil engineering works for part of the 12.6km-long, 12-station extension.

The contract, which brings Ranken’s orderbook to RMB 2.8 billion, is scheduled to be completed by Dec 31, 2020.
