SINGAPORE (May 31): Singapore is ranked 6th in the Global Cities Index 2017, jumping two spots and achieving the highest ranking ever in the index.

The Global Cities Index was launched in 2008 and ranks cities based on their current performance metrics across five dimensions: business activity, human capital, information exchange, cultural experience and political engagement.

Singapore also topped the global ranking for online presence, which measures a city’s information exchange level, such as access to information from the internet and media sources.
