Sunpower wins manufacturing contracts worth $16.8 mil

SINGAPORE (May 4): Sunpower Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary Jiangsu Sunpower Pressure Vessels Equipment Manufacturing Co. has secured environmental equipment manufacturing (EEM) contracts worth RMB 80 million ($16.8 million).

The contracts were awarded by Xinjiang Xinte Crystalline Silicon High-tech Co., a subsidiary of Shanghai-listed TBEA Co.

Sunpower will supply fluidised bed reactors and heat exchangers for Xinjiang Xinte’s upgrading project at its high-purity polysilicon plant.
