Malaysia has announced yet another stimulus package to combat the effects of Covid-19, but is it enough?

Restoring business connections will take time and effort to rebuild the levels of trust that prevailed prior to the Covid-19 crisis.

Practically, all sectors of the Singapore economy have been hit but it is the airlines and the tourism industries that are hurting badly.

“Closing operations for two weeks will have dire consequences on the industry and the livelihoods of our 650,000 smallholders,” said Nageeb Wahab, chief executive of the Malaysian Palm Oil Association.

“The current situation of this outbreak requires drastic measures to restore the situation as soon as possible," says Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
