SINGAPORE (Oct 24): NetLink NBN Management, the trustee-manager of NetLink NBN Trust, says it has been slapped with a fine of $10,000 by the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) for an incident that breached the service restoration timeframe stipulated in the Telecom Service Resiliency Code.

The incident which occurred Dec 13, 2016 was caused by an unintended splicing of a new secondary cable segment to the egress cable of a secondary cabinet during diversion work.

As a result, about 676 users in Tanjong Rhu were affected for a total of 14 hours and 59 minutes.
